Dr. Wes Spangler

Dr. Wes Spangler is the Medical Director and senior doctor partner of TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Paw Creek. He grew up on a small farm in southern Virginia and has always felt that his time on the farm helped shape his passion for animals and veterinary care.

Dr. Spangler completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech in 2013 with degrees in Animal Sciences as well as Human Nutrition, Food and Exercise. He went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from The Ohio State University in 2017. He loved the people of the Midwest, but it was far too cold to stay in Ohio! Dr. Spangler’s professional interests include cardiology, oncology, and surgery, as well as providing thorough and understandable client education.

Outside of the hospital, Dr. Spangler enjoys fitness, outdoor adventure and spending time with his wife and their five pets at home. The couple share a passion for exploring the National Parks of the United States.
