Meet Dr. Taylor Doehrmann

Co-Owner, DVM

Dr. Doehrmann is a co-owner and associate veterinarian at TotalBond Veterinary Hospital at Davidson. She grew up moving around the United States and Europe as part of a military family, an experience that instilled adaptability, resilience, and a deep respect for service. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison before completing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021.

Following graduation, Dr. Doehrmann commissioned into the U.S. Army Veterinary Corps, where she served as an Army officer for four years. During this time, she provided compassionate care to both family pets and military working dogs. It was through her work with these canine service members that she discovered a deep passion for rehabilitation medicine.

Dr. Doehrmann is a Certified Companion Animal Rehabilitation Therapist (CCAT) and a Canine Arthritis Management (CAM) Practitioner. Her professional interests include pain and arthritis management, rehabilitation of working and athletic dogs, and optimizing mobility and quality of life for small animals.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Doehrmann enjoys exploring the outdoors, lifting weights, and spending quality time with her husband and young son. She shares her home with a spirited miniature long-haired dachshund named Kona and two rabbits, Corra and Kylo.

Our dog received outstanding care from Dr. Doehrmann! Another vet had recommended tail amputation for a bad infection, and we came to Total Bond for a second opinion. Dr. Doehrmann spent over an hour with our pet on the first visit and followed up with a small procedure the next day to remove the infected tissue and clean out the wound. She was super thorough, knowledgeable professional, and caring. The infection is now under control and his tail is healing!

I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Doehrmann and the team at TotalBond Veterinary Hospital. From the moment we arrived, everyone was warm, professional, and truly caring. Dr. Doehrmann gave my dog a very thorough exam after she started limping and immediately recommended an X-ray to be sure of the cause. The diagnosis was a shoulder luxation (shoulder joint separation), and Dr. Doehrmann explained everything clearly, answering all my questions and outlining the treatment plan in detail.
