Patient & Client Policies
To help the hospital operate smoothly and make visits comfortable for everyone, there are a few key policies pet owners are asked to follow. If you have questions, the clinic encourages you to contact the team directly.
Appointment Policy
- The hospital primarily operates by appointment rather than walk-ins. Emergency cases are always prioritized. You may book the appointment by calling our office at 704-867-8318, or directly yourself by clicking on this link.
- Appointments may occasionally run behind schedule due to emergencies or complicated illnesses.
- Drop-off appointments are available: You can drop your pet off for a few hours so the doctor can see them as time allows throughout the day.
- Pets remain comfortable and receive attention and affection while waiting and after their appointment.
- Owners are asked to bring any current medications, prescriptions, supplements, and (for routine exams) a fecal sample with their pet.
- As part of the Fear-Free approach, if you pet is unusually anxious or stressed, mild sedation may be advised; and for non-emergent items, some procedures may be postponed and have the pet return on “Happy Pack” medications administered at home.
Arrival & Waiting Room Policy
- Dogs must be kept on a leash in the waiting room.
- Small dogs, cats, and other pets should be kept in a secure carrier.
- This helps ensure safety for all pets, staff, and other clients who may be nervous or uncomfortable around unfamiliar animals.
Payment Methods
The hospital requires payment in full at the time services are provided. Accepted payment methods include:
- All major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express)
- Cash
- Personal checks
- Financing options may also be available (ask the hospital team for details).
Prescription Refills
- Prescription refills are available through the hospital.
- Pets must have been seen by one of the hospital’s veterinarians to qualify for refills.
- Medication refills can be requested by phone or through this link, and picked up at the hospital or shipped directly to your home.
Prescription Diets
- Prescription diets for pets may be ordered through the hospital.
- You can also order these diets through the hospital’s online store for home delivery.
